What a fantastic week at SMM 2026!
From 1–4 September, NavHyS was proud to exhibit at SMM, one of the world’s leading maritime trade fairs, connecting with stakeholders from across the maritime and hydrogen industry.
We had four intensive days of engaging and inspriring conversations with shipping companies, technology developers, policymakers, and many more. The strong interest in NavHyS and in the role of liquid hydrogen (LH₂) for maritime transport was truly encouraging!
For us, one key message emerged from the event: the maritime industry needs to accelerate its decarbonisation efforts while strengthening its resilience. Hydrogen is increasingly seen as an important enabler of this transition, offering a sustainable alternative to the reliance on fossil fuels. Through NavHyS, we are proud to contribute to this development.
A huge thank you to ArianeGroup and Gas and Heat for supporting the booth and representing the project throughout the week. It was also a great pleasure to connect with ARTA, Fincantieri, sHyPS and the Global Liquid Hydrogen Alliance.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who stopped by! We leave Hamburg with new connections, fresh ideas and even greater motivation to advance liquid hydrogen for sustainable shipping.
