The NavHyS project participated in this year’s European Hydrogen Week Conference – Europe’s flagship event for the hydrogen community – held from 29 September to 3 October 2025 in Brussels . The conference brought together over 1,200 participants, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, and representatives from across the entire hydrogen value chain, to discuss solutions to the most pressing challenges facing the sector today.
Three Key Programme Tracks
The event programme was structured around three main conference streams, each offering a different perspective on challenges and opportunities with regard to hydrogen:
- High-Level Policy Conference — Forums where decision-makers, industry leaders, and experts addressed developments and future directions of the hydrogen sector at global, European, and national scales
- B2B Forum — Embedded in the exhibition space, this section of the programme encouraged peer-to-peer exchanges, matchmaking, and cross-sector dialogue on the most pressing challenges of the hydrogen sector
- Innovation Forum — Highlighted the latest advancements on research and innovation in hydrogen technologies, showcasing results from EU-funded projects across the hydrogen value chain – from production, distribution, and storage to end-use applications.
NavHyS at the Conference
The NavHyS project was present with a mini-stand hosted by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). The stand served as a central point for outreach and networking throughout the week, featuring our latest communication materials and project insights. It was inspiring to engage with so many experts and stakeholders from across the sector — a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and share how NavHyS is helping accelerate the adoption of hydrogen technologies in maritime applications.
Key Takeaways
The Hydrogen Week once again showed that unlocking Europe’s hydrogen potential is not only key to the success of the energy transition – its is fundamental to ensuring Europe’s long-term resilience and energy sovereignty. NavHyS is proud to be part of this mission!
